Care and Maintenance
To cultivate the most luxurious sword aquarium plants, iron-rich substrate or fertilizer is highly recommended. They also will appreciate at least two watts per gallon of full-spectrum lighting. While some sword plants can survive between 60 and 80 °F, the optimal temperature should stay somewhere between 70 and 80 °F. Sword plants are ideal for large aquariums or as a great focal point for smaller tanks. Some smaller species can be placed in the foreground or in groups to create unique aquascapes. Larger specimens are perfect as background plants.
