Water Sprite Indian Fern produces delicately looking leaves with a lace-like appearance. The leaves are light green with stems growing slightly darker green. The plant is versatile, easy to take care of, and a good beginner aquarium plant.

Care & Maintenance for Water Sprite Indian Fern

Water Sprite Indian Fern is highly adaptable and, under good conditions, a fast-growing plant. It will thrive under varied water conditions and light levels. The substrate is not too important as the plant is excellent at pulling the nutrients it needs from the water column. Water Sprite’s ability to pull copious amounts of nutrients from the water column helps keep the aquarium water clean and healthy for fish and other tank inhabitants.    

• Minimum Lighting Required: Moderate
• Temperature Range: 70-82°F
• Tank Placement: Background

Water Sprite can be either planted in substrate or left floating. If planting, the plant should be placed in the background areas of the aquarium and preferably away from powerheads or filter intakes so that its delicate leaves are not accidentally pulled in and shredded.
