Scarlet Temple Reineckii originates in South America. This plant has red stems but its leaves can come in many different shades and colors. Oftentimes, the top of the leaf may have olive-green to brown coloration while the bottom may be more in pink-red hues.

Care & Maintenance

Scarlet Temple Reineckii is fairly easy to care for if some attention is paid to its requirements. The plant prefers strong lighting and it will benefit greatly from a good nutrient-rich substrate. Iron fertilization may help bring more intense red colors in this plant.

When planted in small groups, this plant will provide a great focal point both in large and small aquariums. The red coloration that this plant displays is guaranteed to get everybody's attention. Propagation is from cuttings. When trimming or cutting the plant, sharp aquascaping scissors are highly recommended.
