Ruffle Sword | Potted
Echinodorus Martii, also known as E. Major, E. Leopolodina, or commonly as Ruffled Sword, originates from Brazil. This sword plant is very popular among aquarium enthusiasts because it produces broad, green leaves that may be ruffled or undulated around the edges, giving it an attractive and unique appearance.
How to Care for Ruffle Sword
It is an undemanding plant and will thrive in varied water conditions. This plant requires a moderate level of lighting conditions for optimum growth and prefers nutrient-rich substrate. Like most sword plant species, Ruffle Sword is a heavy root feeder, and we recommend fertilizing it with root tabs. The plant will also grow more robustly if provided with iron fertilizer.
