Ozelot Green Sword, also known as Echinodorus Ozelot, produces black-dappled oval-shaped leaves. The green leaves with contrasting splashes of dark on them make this plant stand out from all others in the tank.

Care & Maintenance for Ozelot Green Sword

Ozelot Green Sword, like most sword plant species, is an easy-to-grow plant that is very tolerant of varied water conditions. Nearly all sword plants, including Ozelot Green, will benefit from a good source of iron. If your plant’s leaves become thin and lacking in color, provide supplemental iron fertilization. If provided with a nutrient-rich substrate, good light, and regular fertilization, Ozelot Green Sword will thrive in most aquariums.

• Tank Placement: Midground and Background

Ozelot Green Sword can serve as a focal point in your aquarium, providing variety and catching the eye even in a heavily planted aquarium. It also provides hiding and spawning places for your fish. Discus fish and Angelfish will often lay their eggs on the leaves of this sword plant. Ozelot Green should be planted in the background areas of the aquarium.
