Description
Monte Carlo on Coco Fiber
Micranthemum Tweediei Monte Carlo originates from South America. This plant produces small round leaves in green color. This plant is very easy to keep and is suitable as a beginner plant. It will thrive in varied water conditions.
Care Guide For Monte Carlo
Monte Carlo is highly adaptable and, apart from good lighting, does not have any special requirements. It can be used as a "carpeting" plant for the foregroundmof the aquarium in front of larger plants. Planting Monte Carlo requires patience as it may be difficult to "keep" it in the substrate when planting. Unless, of course, you purchase it already grown on coco fiber such as here. Simply place it in your tank in gravel or substrate and let it spread across your tank.
- Minimum Lighting Required: Moderate - High
- Temperature Range: 70-90°F
- Tank Placement: Foreground, Floating
Keeping Monte Carlo compacted and dense may require regular trimming and curved aquascaping scissors are best for that job. This small-leaved plant can also be used as a floating plant and as a bog plant. Monte Carlo is also available as potted and in a 4oz Cup.

Its good! Just beware
I just received the plant today, it looks good and i can't wait to see it grow. However I usually rinse any plants I get in hot water (usually doesn't harm the plants) just so I can kill anything that might be living in them. To my surprise, I see a bunch of what I think were brine shrimp (possibly even baby shrimp) slowly fall out of it. The hot water got rid of what I would assume was about 12 of them. They were actually pretty cute but just beware. I don't mind and overall the plant is in very good condition!
