Description

Hygrophila Corymbosa Compacta

Hygrophila Compacta originates from India. It is a very popular and well-known aquarium plant. It produces rigid stems and vibrantly green and lush leaves. The plant has a "bushy" appearance and contrasts well against other bunched plants.

Care & Maintenance

Hygrophila Compacta is highly adaptable and tolerant of a wide range of aquarium conditions. It is a relatively fast grower. It is an ideal plant for any aquarium because it is not fussy about substrates or water quality.

  • Minimum Lighting Required: Moderate
  • Temperature Range: 64°-86°F
  • Tank Placement: Foreground-Midground

The plant can be planted in well-spaced groups and looks great around the edges and corners of the aquarium. If the leaves begin to yellow, iron fertilizer should be added. Hygrophila can be kept in cooler waters.

Some leaves were broken during shipment, but root nodes were well developed so the plant will do fine. Looks like a tree sapling in my tank!
