Description
Hygro Araguaia
Hygrophila Araguaia is one of the several varieties available in our store. It originates from South and East Asia and it is found along shallow riverbanks where it can grow both emersed and submersed. It is a beautiful "bushy" plant and should be used as a midground plant.
Care & Maintenance
Under good conditions and provided with good lighting, substrate, and fertilization including iron, Araguaia should grow fast. While not required, CO2 supplementation will increase In order to keep the plant at its best and compact, occasional trimming is recommended. Cuttings can be reused and replanted.
- Minimum Lighting Required: Medium
- Temperature Range: 72-82° F
- Tank Placement: Midground - Background
The appearance of Hygro Araguaia will depend somewhat on the conditions in the aquarium. If grown in a nutrient-rich substrate like Fluval Stratum or Rio Cafe and provided with iron-rich fertilizers and good light, the plant may display deep green to purple-red colors.

Beautiful
My plants arrived in perfect shape. Very crisp and green. Each stem had multiple flowers. Planted immediately and I have seen zero negative reaction to its new environment. Very happy, as are my fish.

Nice
This is a slow grower, but can thrive with good light. I planted mine a week ago and it’s gotten better and better looking. I really like it.
