Description
Hygrophila Blue | Potted
Hygrophila Blue is an attractive stem aquarium plant that produces triangular leaves which may develop a slight blue tint.
Care & Maintenance for Hygrophila Blue
Hygrophila Blue, like most Hygrophila species, is highly adaptable and will do well in most aquariums. Under good conditions, Hygrophila Blue will grow fast and may need regular pruning to keep it tidy. Cuttings can be replanted in the substrate.
- Minimum Lighting Required: Moderate
- Temperature Range: 70-82°F
- Tank Placement: Background
Hygrophila Blue is an ideal plant for the edges, corners, and back areas of the aquarium. It does not require CO2 supplementation, but it will benefit from it, growing bigger and faster. Good lighting, iron fertilization, and rich substrate will ensure the plant will thrive in the aquarium. The plant looks best when planted in well-spaced groups.
Hygrophila Blue is also available bareroot. We offer other varieties of Hygrophila species, including Hygro Araguaia, Hygrophila Pinnatifida, Wisteria (Hygrophila Difformis), and Hygrophila Willow.
