As you browse our selection of driftwood on slate, you’ll notice that you have a variety of options to choose from. Shop extra-large pieces to place among the background plants in your aquascape, or choose our smaller options for foreground placement at the front of your tank! You can find pieces that are as large as 18” in height or width and as small as 6” in size. Each piece of driftwood is completely distinct, and you can find tons of different shapes and configurations.
Benefits of Driftwood
Driftwood is highly recommended for aquariums. It can boost the immune system of your fish by releasing beneficial tannins and keep diseases and bacteria at bay. The natural tannins that leach into the water are an important part of your aquarium ecoscape. Driftwood also provides fish with plenty of places to hide, rest, and play throughout the aquarium.
We love recommending driftwood on slate to our clients because they never have to worry about making sure the wood is water-logged enough to sink to the bottom of the tank. With a heavy piece of stone already attached, placing your new feature in the tank is easy!
