Crytocoryne Wendtii originates from Sri Lanka. The leaf color may depend on several factors, including lighting and fertilization, and may range from brown to red to olive green.
Care & Maintenance for Cryptocoryne Red
This is one of the most hardiest and adaptable of Cryptocoryne species and will do well in most aquarium conditions and under varied lighting.C. Wendtii looks best when planted in groups, creating dense clumps. It is a medium to fast grower and propagates from shoots and runners.
- Minimum Lighting Required: Low-Moderate
- Temperature Range: 71-82°F
- Tank Placement: Foreground - Midground
This plant can be used as a foreground or midground plant. In smaller aquariums, it can be planted in the background areas of the aquarium. You can plant Wendtii in gravel. No specialized substrate is required although Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red will do much better in a loosely packed substrate rich in nutrients such as Fluval Stratum or Rio Escuro.
Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red is also available as potted.

Posted by AeXzer Anthony on 6 Oct 2021Well packed and fast shipping. I gave it 4 star because some of the leaves were dying when it arrived and those leaves melted right away after a day or two. But the remaining leaves were very healthy and now sprouting new leaves. This Crypt is very beautiful. Highly recommended to anybody who wants a plant that is not too demanding but have very beautiful characteristics and coloration. Both are already showing red coloration on their new leaves. I will still buy again with this seller.
