Seiryu Stone, like its cousin Blue Seiryu Stone, is a stunningly beautiful rock and thus not surprisingly one of the most popular aquascaping rocks among hobbyist and professionals alike. Their popularity grew in the aquarium hobby after they were frequently featured in aquascapes of Takashi Amano. Amano's spectular aquascapes demonstrated how Seiryu stone can be artfully used to create interesting and beatiful aquascapes. These rocks tend to come in gray-ish colors and have irregular edges, shapes, deep cuts, and crevices. Some rocks exhibit white-colored calcite veins, providing striking and unique visual contrast.
