Description
Anubias Congensis | Potted
Anubias Congensis, also known as Congo Anubias, originates from West Africa. This anubias grows tall, and produces on its long stems slender but thick and leathery in appearance leaves. Their unusual shape makes this plant a worthy addition to any aquarium.
Care & Maintenance for Anubias Congensis
Anubias Congensis is a highly adaptable and undemanding aquarium plant. Lighting is not very important and the plant does not have special fertilization requirements. It's a great beginner plant and will grow well in most aquarium setups.
- Minimum Lighting Required: Moderate
- Temperature Range: 68-82°F
- Tank Placement: Midground - Background
Anubias Congensis can be planted in substrate but care should be taken that the rhizome (the thick part of the root system) not be burried, or otherwise the plant will die. It can also be attached to hard surfaces such as rocks or driftwood. Anubias Congensis can be used in tanks with boisterous or herbivorous fish.
Anubias Congensis is also available bareroot.
